What was I saying? Oh right. I’m on vacation so there won’t be any posts this week. Yes indeed.
O.K. this isn’t really a post so don’t go all apeshit on me for working on my vacation.
A few days ago my friend Andrea came to visit. She came quite a distance so I figured I’d better show her a good time and fire up the pizza oven. It’s a long drive from Singapore. Figured she’d be famished by the time she got here. Turns out she ate between leaving Singapore and arriving at my house. Seems a bit ungracious if you ask me, especially when she knew I was making pizza but whatever. Some people are just selfish that way I guess. You know. Only thinking of themselves.
What was I saying?
Right. So Andrea and her daughter Zoie came to visit the chickens and my pizza oven. I just happened to be here as well which was either a bonus or an annoyance for them. I didn’t much care so long as I got to fire up Belchy. I’ve named my pizza oven and not only is that not weird, it would be weird not to.
I should explain that I’ve known Andrea for the past 12 years. We were both cast members of a makeover show called Stylin’ Gypsies. I was the host, she was the hair and makeup expert. And even back then, in the olden days, when cell phones had antennas you had to pull out, Andrea was utilizing social media. She always had the newest phone, camera or gadget. She’d work deals, make trades, and really understood, YEARS before I did, the power of the Internet in terms of networking, both socially and professionally. She’s what you’d call a mover and a shaker. She moved herself to Singapore several years ago but we’ve stayed in touch through … social media.
When she came to visit she had her trusty camera with her and documented the whole visit to my pretend farm Green Fakers. Everything from hanging with the chickens to ending the night with a game of Heads Up, which I had never played before. As you’ll notice.
So as I relax for the rest of my vacation, please enjoy this little glimpse into my life courtesy of Andrea.
Now stop bugging me. I’m on vacation.
