My name is Karen and it's been almost a year since my last Will They Eat it Video.
My apologies.
So today I have for you a Will They Eat it Video to make up for that lost time.
You haven't lived until you've watched a chicken eat a tractor tire.
Just kidding ... push play to see the featured food item in today's Will They Eat It?
Will They Eat it Mealworms
Will the chickens eat mealworms? A great source of protein for when your chickens are moulting.
You're welcome.

Like your music choice!

I am truely fascinated by your chickens. I am also fascinated by how great your white fingernail polish looks in this video. And I can't believe I am making my first post about your manicure! But it looks great. Mine end up looking like I was attacked by a white-out pen. Anyways, guess I'm, no longer a lurker! You're awesome!
Renee
The secret is to find the right shade of white. The warmer whites will generally look better with most skin tones. Otherwise, yeah...white out central.
Ella
Nice song!!

Hooray! Finally another installment of one of my favorite shows.
I wonder if they'll eat brussell sprouts. Although you probably already know since you no doubt passed on the leftovers of your taste test to them.
What about broccoli? Or corn dogs? Or rice krispies?
I'm hoping that if I come up with enough suggestions this will become a monthly feature.

Actually Chickens think of Meal Worms as Gourmet FOOD!!!! Kind of the way I look at Dark Chocolate , Lilikoi, or Mango....FOOD OF THE GODS :-) I have had chickens most of my life and I have found very little food wise that they will not eat...not so sure about tires though :-)
Diana
Hi Karen, I think they will poop it, too. Lol
I know why you took this song...

Eeek, makes me think twice about eating eggs, not to mind chicken!
Great soundtrack though!

Mealworms are full of protein-they are quite healthy. One of the best things to feed chickens.
Erin
I busted out laughing when the music started...hilarious. I'm so glad you're back!

My uncles chickens eat ham, pick a steak bone clean, and even chicken if you toss it to them. Wasn't surprised in the least that they would eat meal worms ;)
Kimberley
Awesome as always! Love the song! My boy and girls are on a tomato binge at the moment, along with anything else they can get their beaks on. 2 of my 5 hens just started laying teeny tiny eggs, so I'm a bit over the moon. :) I've got several acorn squash ready to feed them, but I'm not quite sure how to prepare them. They don't seem to care for yellow squash off the plant; I actually had to cook those. Here's to experimenting!

There is no video!

Hi Jane - The problem is fixed. It just wasn't working on the iPad. I've changed the code now and it works. ~ karen!

Efficient little buggers.

When I was a kid, MANY years ago, we got these cute little lizardy creatures from the pet shop. They ate mealworms. My game mom let me keep them in the fridge (slows down the "becoming")! We had to be careful to not give the lizards the beetle that comes after the larval stage, 'cause they would eat the little lizards! I think Norma and her sisters will do just fine! Love love love the vid song! Well chosen!

Best Will They Eat It Video yet. Loved the music.

My girls LOVE meal worms, but they are so expensive to buy in Australia. Have you ever seen them eat a cockroach? Now that is something to see - especially if you're absolutely horrified by cockroaches. If we ever have one in the house now, and are too terrified to catch and dispose if it, we just get Selma to deal with it. Quick, efficient, no nonsense!

I LOVE IT!

Almost enough to keep me from ever being willing to eat one of The Girls, but no... no... I think I would still invite Norma for dinner. And Cheez Whiz, come to think of it.

THANK YOU! Yes, they are disgusting - and fascinatingly so. I was just looking at the dehydrated ones at Lowe's yesterday. OMG. I do need to grow some though, NOW THAT I HAVE CHICKENS!
The hen I was gifted hatched 3 adorable chicks, and I am babbling - sorry. Thanks again for the post, and good choice on the soundtrack!
