7 Days of Puzzles - Christmas Eve Trees

We've made it to Christmas Eve. Please enjoy this puzzle while I get ready to host a few people here for dinner, drinks and in all likelihood, drama.

On the menu for this Christmas Eve is NOT boxes of cereal and jugs of milk. Which is a curious thing because after every single Christmas Eve I host that is exactly what I plan to have the next year. I'll think the same this year.

Would you like to save this stuff?

We'll email you this post, so you can refer to it later.

Instead we're having spaghetti & meatballs, garlic bread, caesar salad, some crackers and cheese and other bits, ending with Danish rice pudding.

    Or we'll have cereal.

Wish me luck and enjoy your Christmas Eve. Only 2 days to the pinnacle of the holiday season - Boxing Day. The only day that has no plans or parties associated with it. It's a glorious day of leftovers, pajamas and gathering strength for the stay at home, eat potato chips and watch television New Year's Eve ahead.

      Hi Karen
What was the name of the Christmas tree stand you recommended from Home Hardware?
      Thanks

Hi Sharon, I use this one for a 7' tree. They also have a larger one for taller trees. ~ karen!

A very Merry Christmas, Karen, and thank you for all the enjoyment of reading your blog. I don't do much gardening or arts and crafts any more, but am happy to order the odd Amazon goodie you share with us. I wish you a Happy Christmas and a peaceful and joyous New Year!

Merry Christmas Karen! We are hosting too, and it’s too late, but pizza is starting to sound better and better.

Loved this puzzle, the beautiful trees. It provided an extra challenge when it restarted when I had almost completed it. Do over! My pleasure.

      Have a restive New Year!

Boxing Day is when we're having our party! Nice puzzle - I didn't even notice the deer among the trees until I was finished :)

This was a challenge but so worth it. Love the final picture! Great way to start my day of cooking madly before everyone gets here. I opened my back door to feed the stray cat and three deer were 15' away, in my garden, frantically scrambling out when they heard the door open. Hope they found something nourishing in all that dead mess.

Love this grouping of trees - I also have many different ones and most of them stay out all the time. The best is a collection of wooden ones that live in our sunroom. Guess that makes us tree lovers - we have 7 gigantic oaks in our yard as well as a beautiful Autumn Blaze maple in the front yard and a really nice ordinary silver maple in the side yard. Of course that makes for dealing with a gazillion leaves in the fall but that's the way it goes. Anyway, time for me to shut up and wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year - staying in your jammies and eating potato chips!

Maybe it’s just my aging iPad, but this puzzle seems glitchy. Four times it froze midway and refreshed, resetting itself. I surrender! All the others were fine.

Not sure Inger! :/ It could just be your aging iPad if there isn't a lot of memory left on it. Sorry about that. ~ karen!

An interesting artistic amalgam of little trees and random deer. A whimsical creation. Thanks for sharing it.

I quit television to start a blog with the goal that I could make my living through blogging and never have to host a television show again. And it’s worked out. I’m making a living blogging. If you’re curious, this is how I do that.

So I’m doing this in reverse basically. I’m the only blogger who is trying to NOT get a TV show.
