What is your choice?  I need to know.

Have a good weekend.  Filled with cake or chips.  Your choice.

  1. Bonnie says:

Chips. I go for savory over sweet any day.

  2. Jillian says:

    Chips, definitely!

  3. I used to crave chips. Every night at 5 pm it was a glass of wine and chips. Hubby and I gave up chips for low fat popcorn. There is just enough salt that I don’t feel deprived. I can eat lots more popcorn than chips.
So, the answer is, CAKE!!! Let me eat CAKE!

  4. I have a balanced snacking philosophy. I never snack on just sweet or salty. That’s for doofuses. One must snack on both. Always.

  5. Denise says:

Chips. I probably eat chips at least once a week, but cake 3-4x a year. Salt and crunch. Good thing you pictured the choices … otherwise French fries (aka chips in many parts of the world) might have oiled the waters.

  6. Paula says:

Cake forever. In fact, if there was a way that I could eat nothing but cake and be healthy, well, I do believe that would be one of my 3 wishes. Dang – where is that magic lamp so I can get a hold of that genie?

  7. Caitlin says:

one and then the other :)

  8. Megan Beavers says:

cake if it has frosting if not chips

  9. Sarah says:

Chips. I’ll choose fried and salted over sweets anyday!

  10. Susan says:

  11. Leena says:

Cake is not a snack, so chips.

    • IrishJenn says:

I was thinking the same thing! If I want a snack, I go for chips. Potato is good, corn (+ salsa) is better.
When I want something sweet /dessert, anything homemade! Cake, pie, cookies, brownies…as long as it’s not from a mix, or the frosting from a tub. Yes, I’m picky. And lazy. Which is why there is so rarely anything sweet in my house.

  12. Shannon says:

Chips. Any flavor will do. Unless there is frosting. I love frosting, no need for cake…but still, chips.

  13. Laura Bee says:

Chips. But popcorn wins over chips.

  14. mimiindublin says:

    Cake, definitely cake!

  15. Krikit says:

    Chocolate Chip Cake! ~;0)

  16. Natika33 says:

    @ Michelle @ Sweetsuite10

They have chips dipped in chocolate in Japan. (^_^)

I tend to want savoury/salty things and then sweet after, but if I absolutely had to decide, I guess it would be cake… but only if it was dense and had good icing. I hate the store bought stuff. Yeah, I’m picky… sorry!

  17. Lucy says:

I’ll chip in my vote for the chips. I’m not a big fan of frosting — I just like the cake part; however, I’m a fan of every bit of the potato. Even mashed potatoes would win out over the cake for me. And, yes, I am Irish, but I think I’d like potatoes anyway. Can I have a Guinness to go with them? That would make a perfect meal for me.

  18. Jenni says:

Chips absolutely. Or anything salty. Mmmm…salt

  19. Lin N says:

Chips, chips and more chips thank you very much!

  20. Vicki says:

Sorry. I know this is no help, but I would like some chips, then some cake for dessert.

  21. Court says:

Hmmm… If the cake is whipped frosting, I’d go cake. Buttercream? Chips, hands down.

  22. Nanette says:

    Let them eat………CAKE

  23. Meg says:

    omg cake.
    now I need cake.
    I blame you.

that crunch of chips just doesn’t cut it, when compared to #%(!@#(* CAKE.

Maybe if I bake a cake, I can pawn off on my coworkers… it’s nice having mostly male coworkers to metabolize test baked goods.

  24. Christina says:

    Caaaaakeeeee! *drool*

  25. Tricia Rose says:

Cold potatoes, with salt? a forgotten sausage – no, wait, chick peas! a whole barbequed chicken!

  26. SK Farm Girl says:

Chips! Hands down! Strap on the feedbag and let THIS bag have at ‘er! Dill pickle, ketchup or salt ‘n vinegar and yes, I lick my fingers and yes, I lick out the bag! Damn no chips in the house and it’s nearly midnight. Oh screw it, I’m going to bed . . .

  27. Sharon says:

And since it has been exactly one year ; please add some:

Broccoli Soup & The Hairy Soap

    as a side dish :)

  28. Kate says:

    Chips. Savoury all the way.

  29. courtney says:

    always cake. always.

  30. Lemurific says:

Cake then chips. No seriously, cake will always be my #1, eat it anytime, I love you, marry me snack. I love it so much, I make myself make it. Never store bought – of crap, Sara Lee coconut creme cake is an exception. Doughnuts are a close second to cake. Anyone have a good cake doughnut receipe that doesn’t require a special doughnut pan?

  31. Gayla T says:

Cake if it’s chocolate, or carrot, or pineapple upside down cake. But then there is white w/chocolate frosting and the new one…chocolate malt or red devil’s food. I actually love German chocolate a lot and now the kids and I are doing the 1-2-3 cake which is pretty good but not great. I almost forgot white coconut which is way good.If you count cheesecake as cake it is hands down as cheesecake is my favorite food. You will think that I don’t like chips but I do. I like Art and Mary’s salt and vinegar chips. There are always chips in the house for the kids to eat with a burger or sandwich but I don’t ever touch them. So I guess I can say I like cake the best but I like cookies way better than cake. I can’t sleep if there is a cookie in the house. Chocolate chip or pecan sandies or well, you get my drift. I like almost anything better than potato chips but potatoes are my next fav after cheesecake. Am I rambling again? Sorry! What was the question? It was a record breaking 106 here today and my brain is fried, crisp like a potato chip. Oh, yea, chips……..

  32. Emily rae says:

As much as I have a sweet tooth, I’ll say chips. Venturing beyond potato into corn, even. Oh doritos, you are so good.

  33. Jill says:

Chips are good, but cake is better!

  34. Stefanie says:

Is dip included? No, then CAKE!! Though, swedish fish over both chips or cake.

    • courtney says:

i’m with ya on the swedish fish! they are my favorite junk food ever! :)

    • sonja keck says:

A small slice of that cake served on a small platter of fresh fruits and berries along with a wonderful pot of deliciously steeped tea…who needs chips?!

  35. Lise Rousseau Silva says:

  36. taria says:

always, every time cake for me. dh and dd are chips though. I always get the last piece of cake, actually I usually get most pieces of cake. I love sweets. love to bake ’em and eat ’em.

  37. Laura says:

Cake. With chips. But cake cake cake cake.

  38. Sarah and Bruce says:

Chips. (Times two since my hubby voted, too.)

  39. Traci says:

Chippy chippity chip chip chips!!!!! Man! If I could strap a salt lick to my wrist somehow, my life would be complete Nirvana!

  40. Can I have chips dipped in milk chocolate? I bet that would be tasty. Kinda like those chocolate covered pretzels, but better :)

  41. Brynne says:

    Cake! Any kind… Delicious!

  42. Lynne says:

    Chips! Every. Single. Time :)
I’ve always been a savoury kinda gal, if I start craving sugar there is something seriously wrong with me!

  43. Lynne says:

Cake – mmmmm – what was the question ?

  44. Amanda says:

thats tough… I am eating chips right now… but I could go for some cake. Crap now I want french fries and a chocolate milkshake. For that is a great blend of salty and sweet.

  45. Kirsten says:

    Cake! Delicious, sweet, cake.
But I’ve a sweet tooth, so that makes sense.

  46. Erica says:

Chips. Lays Dill pickle chips, specifically. Mmm

  47. michelle says:

chips. the salt/chrunch is my go-to.
