An Easter Greeting.

Happy Easter everyone. Or Passover. Whichever works for you. If neither works for you, Happy Random Day off. Sorry you don’t get any ham or kugel by the way. I don’t particularly care for ham but I know a lot of people do. Not you Passover celebrators of course.

I’m taking the day off to do what most people do on Easter Monday. Sleep. I’m definitely going to sleep.

I’m actually deciding between sleeping and refinishing my stairs, which I know may sound like 2 completely different things but both will make me feel good in the end. In fact, I’m pretty sure refinishing my stairs will make me feel better.

Sucking on chocolate eggs dipped in a jar of peanut butter might be fulfilling too though.  Clearly I have some decisions to make about how to spend this day.

Oh! And before I forget, Cuddles has another Easter message for you.

I’m gonna take that as a sign. Have a good day off and I’ll see you tomorrow.

For heaven’s sake. Haven’t you taught the CHICKEN how to refinish stairs yet?? I’m shocked.

  2. KJ says:

This is totally off topic but have you ever seen the way they grow things vertically at the Epcot greenhouse? I thought you might be interested because the plants look very cool.

  3. karen says:

Looks like Cuddles is doing fine! How are your other chicklets doing on their one-year adoption anniversary??
    Happy post-Easter to you!

  4. Joanna says:

    Aww Cuddles!!!

  5. Nancy Blue Moon says:

That Cuddles is some cool little chick..Happy Easter Monday to all of you!

  6. Katchups says:

Wait… You get Monday off? Poop. We Americans get ripped off when it comes to holidays.

    • Karen says:

Katchups – It’s kind of an iffy thing. Some Canadians get Monday off, others don’t. Friday is the official holiday, but Monday seems to have creeped in there as well. ~ karen!

Oh, I forgot to ask or I forgot if I asked you: did you know Pinterest has Pinterest for Business now? It is here: and free. It just takes 2 eail accounts to separate business Pinterest from your more personal pins. And they offer analytics.

Anyway they have success stories as examples but note that “Pinterest business accounts make it easy for businesses to inspire our community. If you’re an established brand, small business, non-profit organization, blogger or publication, you can join Pinterest as a business.”

Does this seem worthwhile? I’m on Amazon and they say that is a verifiable site but I couldn’t get it to verify. I have to learn some new code or something first.

    • Karen says:

Jrn – I know when I was asked to “verify” my Art of Doing Stuff account on Pinterest I had to do some tiny little bit of coding. It’s probably the same thing. For now I”ll stay on reg. Pinterest and investigate business Pinterest, but the truth is … I only have so much time for Pinny stuff! ~ karen

      • Jrn says:

Karen- I know what you mean about time. For what it is worth, the views on my selling site (vintage, rare books) jumped after I got a Pinterest business account. I just don’t know how much is purely due to Pinterest. There are always seasonal surges.

But so far most of my boards contain pins from other book lovers’ boards. So I guess I am cross promoting them and our shared love of books more than my business ( which technically is more of a hobby, based in cash flow, although I think Tom Hanks bought one of my books once, a priceless thrill).

If and when I get analytics to work…I’ll see how much Pinterest affects anything.

  8. Jrn says:

Must be something in the air. I’ve been rereading your posts as well. Then I got a Pinterest notice that someone named Homemaking Boss Chick had repinned one of my pins which I’d originally pinned from your site. Yay!

  9. mimiindublin says:

    Cuddles is a hero!

  10. Laura Bee says:
