Happy Valentine’s Day all.
I’m thinking your fella has been replaced by a very well mashed potatoe and for the morning, left over mashed potatoe pancakes (mmmmm). My fella has been replaced by perogies with way too much sour cream and onions. Happy Valentines tummies. xx
YOU ROCK! and I could not agree with you more!
I just read the carb VD letter. I think I even laughed out loud!! Thanks for the laugh and I’m off to get some carbs!
Priceless. Much VD love to you and the fella!
Uh…the *other* VD…the good one! 🙂
There’s a good VD? 😉 ~ karen
Bread, crackers (Saltines), potatoes, rice. You are all the loves of my life in that order. Bread is the love of my life in all her forms. Except glutten free.
this is awesome. except I love brussels sprouts. happy valentines day!!!
Touching. Love carbs…just dont like the feeling of being followed, turning around quickly and finding it’s my own ass!!! Whaa.
• you need a like button 🙂
I just ate some cheddar and potato perogies. You will pry carbs from cold dead hands. Kind of like my Wiser’s.
I love it! This is my kind of poem. we seem to have the same love affair with carbs. My acupunturist told me I want to consider ‘less inflammatory foods’. I asked, “like what” and he said, “like gluten-free”, I said, “you mean like no PASTA!!!” He said, “yes, like no pasta. shhh, this is a calm room” I scoffed and said, “no chance in hell. I’ll live with the pain.”
“Crusty roll and rotting troll.”Amazing poetry Karen! Love it. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone. Let’s all, enjoy our carbs tonight.
Ditto on Nancy Blue Moon, you both have such a wonderful way with words… Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
Dearest Karen & Fella:
You make me laugh You make me smile You make me cry Every once in a while
I love your cats I love your chickens They are so funny Those little dickens
Thank you for the joy you bring Thank you all for everything
Can’t think of anything else that rhymes So won’t you be my Valentine
Your loving admirer, Nancy
Happy Valentines Day! XOXOXO
Awwww, very sweet! I hope you have a very Happy V-Day!
“I love you so much, and so does my butt.”
Seriously? I’ve always wanted to design greeting cards – I may be in touch with you to get the rights to this line for the Valentine’s Day special!
Only you would ever come up with a love letter to carbs…woman after my heart. You’re my “go to” morning start – always feel better after talking with you!
LOL- Karen you always know how to bring a smile to my face, Happy Valentines to you !!
Hilarious….I’m with you Karen, love my potatoes although more a fan of the sweet potatoe now and it’s good for me, right?! Was just on Pinterest….you need to check this out….a “chunnel….or chicken tunnel”…http://zucchinimom.blogspot.ca/2012/06/introducing-our-chunnel-chicken-tunnel.html
I teared up a little bit. That was SO beautiful. Your way with words is just inspiring 😉
HAPPY VALENTINES TO YOU TOO!
Karen, that Paleo diet has officially turned your mind to mush, haha. You are quite the poet!
“From my fork to my pie hole…”
Happy Valentines Day to you and the Fella Karen. May your day be filled with carbs. Cheers Maggie V
It was like you were in my head expressing my love for carbs.
You took the words right out of my mouth. Happy Valentines Day!
Best VD poem ever! My ancestors came to Canada because of the Irish potato famine, so I just can not turn my back or butt away from them. It’s my way of justifying my inability to ignore them and I am sticking to it. Seriously anyone else hear the voices at the grocery store in the potato chip isle??
LOL – Thanks Karen Happy Valentine’s Day to you and your potatoe!
I sometimes wonder why you’re not on a comedy circuit, somewhere. You have a certain flair for making the ordinary extraordinarily ridiculous! Thanks!
now that is love.
Your ode to the potato is priceless! Happy Valentine’s Day!
LOL, oh my. What a great way to start my day. 🙂 Happy Valentines Day to you and the fella. Do the girls get any special treats?? I’m on a low carb plan right now so am trying to decide if we should go out to supper ( where I’ll have a greasy cheeseburger and onion rings ) or if I should stay home, cook creamed lobster, and stay somewhat legal. Honestly, I can’t decide.
Moe – If you cook every night … go out. If you don’t cook a lot stay home w/ the lobster. I for one will be having foil wrapped cheeseburgers. Done. ~ karen
Thanks for the cute poem.
Happy Valentine Day to a Lovely Lady and Her Fella !!
Sniffle-sniffle! So much sentiment all at once!
(Seriously, you’ve unloaded all your television industry cynicism and gone completely the other direction. Or… not. But it was lovely fun!) Happy Valentine’s Day, Karen & Fella!
Priceless. A very happy VD to you, without the need for penicillin, of course.
