Making the Die-Orama

Wanna know a secret?  I Photoshopped mascara and eyeliner onto myself.

Yes.  Yes, I did.

The fella lovessss to shoot pictures of me where I’m in my p’jamas, in the middle of the night, wearing no makeup.  He does it all the time.

The kicker?

He loves to let everyone at work and everywhere else in his life go through all the photos on his iPhone.

Yeah.   He’s a lotta fun the fella.

hilarious! My daughter has pretty much the same picture of me with a saw in one hand and a brick in the other and a christmas tree in the background listing violently to the left. I think it was about 2 am…

  2. Both eyes or just the near one?

It sounds to me like your Fella thinks you’re beautiful without needing any makeup.

    Questions:

Was the photoshopping of eye make-up done to hide or highlight your slight “deer-in-the-headlights” expression?

And what are the aqua, green and brown dots on the white square? Are those thumbtacks?

Oh, and I almost forgot, when are you going to grace us with refrigerator news?

Thank you and the Die-orama is very cool, BTW.

      1. To make me not look like an albino. 2. They are thumbtacks for tacking up the skeletons, nooses and lights. 3. No news worth telling as of yet. Phew. ~ k

Love the Halloween die-orama. I’d like that idea for Thanksgiving too (hollow out a frozen turkey, mount neckhole down with feet pointing up, take some wedding-cake topper people and dress as pilgrims and stand inside on rocks of raw yams…you get the idea…keep in the freezer until ready of course so the smell of rotting turkey flesh doesn’t drive away your guests. And Christmas, too…and Easter? Er, about hollowing out that cute little easter bunny…
    Cheers!

  6. Sounds like you and the fella were made for each other. Definitely not a boring relationship. When are we going to get to see pics of the fella in pj’s, sans make up in the middle of the night?

You are so fun! Another lol moment! My ‘fella’ likes to take pictures at the most inopportune times as well…but he knows better than to share them!

    Hey-no arm flab-could be worse!!!

Next time the fella takes a shower, reach in right at the end and turn the water fully onto cold. Then snap a photo of him when he steps out of the shower, showing the resulting shrinkage in dinkage, and show it to all his friends and yours. It will serve him right.

(I don’t have my own website, I usually access Facebook on my Nook where I am led to BabbleHome where I found your wonderful pumpkin idea.) I am a miniaturist and would love to make your spooky pumpkin for Halloween, but it’s already Monday so will have to save it till next year. I may try one for Thanksgiving, though. Maybe I can find the “ingedients” even cheaper now! Thanks for the idea. I will watch your website for future ideas (and directions)!

Oh my goodness I have to say that is the best pumpkin diorama I have ever seen! I LOVE it! You did a fantastic job! I’m doing to try to make one as well. I won’t copy off of yours but I will definitely use the inspiration!

    • Karen says:

Thanks Jenine! I did it a few years ago and I still love it. And if you’re losing inspiration, feel free to copy. 😉 ~ karen
