Wishing you a holiday filled with food, family, friends and fun. All the f words.

Why yes, that IS Greg Brady from the Brady Bunch (aka Barry Williams). You'd recognize this shot of him if you bought or were gifted The Advent Calendar. He was behind Door #1, with a personalized video message wishing The Art of Doing Stuff readers a Merry Christmas.
I wrote him a little bit of a script for it, written in my sarcastic Karen style. He read it straight. It was mortifying and hilarious for me to see - all at the same time.
Now, onto my added bonus, Christmas gift to you.
If you need 4 minutes of quiet time, please enjoy this 4 minute, silent (no talking), walking tour through the lower floor of my house.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Kwanza.

Well done Karen and so festive and beautiful ! You have captured all the details to make your home so inviting and cozy for the holidays. Merry Christmas...enjoy your home!
Just lovely Karen.
Thank you for sharing!
Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas & A well deserved relaxing Boxing Day!
~June
MerryChristmas Karen. Your house looks beautiful.
I’m just sitting here waiting for all the hustle and bustle to begin. I’m going to head outside soon to see if I can fix some of the Christmas lights that got detached yesterday in the crazy winds. Will have trudge through 2 feet of snow to the 30 ft tree with the ladder to see if I can get it to light to the top again, it did look beautiful on Thursday, not so much today.
I love Christmas, everything about it, the food the decorating, the gift giving, even the shopping. I shop all year, I try to find the perfect (sometimes non sensical gift for everybody)
Thank you for a year of fun and ideas, enjoy your time off.
Gorgeous! The house looks stunning - all the better to enjoy Christmas.
Just gorgeous. I loved my 4 minutes of peace and tranquillity in my day of Christmas madness. I also adore the winter coziness whilst I type this on Christmas night, where it was a top today of 33c (mild really) and currently at 10.20pm, it’s 24.5C (76F). We still did hot roasts and plum pudding, of course. Merry Christmas to you, Phillip and Betty, from Yea, Victoria, Australia (go on, look it up,).
:) We're Commonwealth cousins, so I'm familiar. And I used to watch a LOT of Masterchef Australia. 😆 ~ karen!
Lovely tour and funny how, with reading your other posts, I felt like I knew the layout and special treasures you have found over the years (Hello, Margaret!)! Merry Christmas and may 2023 bless you and your family with all that is good.
Splendid! Merry Christmas, Karen
Thank you for the SO tranquil tour! Your dining room is still my favorite room ever. Have a wonderful rest of the holiday and a peaceful and healthy 2023.
Is there supposed to be a video? I don't see one.
Merry Christmas!
Thought it was just me! I don't see a link...
Hi Wendy. It could be your browser (try switching to Chrome) or an ad blocker. If you have an ad blocker on your computer you won't be able to watch my videos unless you add The Art of Doing Stuff to your safe/allow list. ~ karen!
Merry CHRISTmas, Karen! Some of us aren't seeing the link to the video - does it not work with Firefox (or other browsers)? I discovered this on another post of yours, there was no link to the video. :-(
p.s. you forgot Festivus. For the rest of us. :-D
If you don't see the video, it could be because you have an adblocker enabled. Disable it for this page -- worked for me.
Hi Kelliblue! It is possible that it's your browser. Almost everything will work on Chrome, so I'd try that if I were you. Let me know! ~ karen
Your house is beautifully decorated! So warm, cozy and inviting! Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
thanks Karen! ~ karen
Your home is lovely! (I think you are a "closet Victorian"--and I approve.)
Merry Christmas to you and all of your family.
Oh boy, I'm not very closeted.😆 I just couldn't live with it all over the place, all of the time (even though I've rarely met an antique piece I didn't like - I have to limit what I buy because I know if my house was filled with it I'd get bored of it) so I Victoriana my heart out at Christmas. ~ karen!
Where is the link??
Hi Tracy. There isn't a link. It could be your browser (try switching to Chrome) or an ad blocker. If you have an ad blocker on your computer you won't be able to watch my videos unless you add The Art of Doing Stuff to your safe/allow list. ~ karen!
Thank you! Merry Christmas, Karen!!
This was lovely - thank you for sharing your dear home. You've worked so hard to make it feel so welcoming. Makes me look at my own cottage with kind eyes.
Thank you for sharing such treats. And thank you for the Christmas countdown - I actually sent out cards, bought myself new pajamas - next year, I will get the presents earlier.
Beautiful and tranquil
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you Karen. Thank you for all of your fabulous ideas and irreverent humor throughout the year. You are a treasure!
PS Thanks to you and the Christmas Pledge, I was ready for the holidays in record time this year. Not exactly December 1, but also not wrapping gifts 1/2 hour before guests arrive! I’ve had a very relaxing enjoyable holiday so far. Cheers!!
Love it all Karen! Thank you for sharing! I especially loved The Lip in the beginning! 😆 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Also, I love your home! Uniquely you.
Disembodied hand! Disembodied hand! Aaaaaa!!!
Finally have our power back on. Love it, your home looks so cozy. I have enjoyed your posts over the years. Happy New Year when it comes to you and yours and will look forward to your first post in 2023. Cheers
Absolutely beautiful, and such magical touches everywhere, perfectly placed. It felt like I was walking around with you, cocktail in hand. The lights, the music, the entire ambiance was beautiful. Thank you for sharing! Happy New Year!
