There were other good things too. Like, The 10 Reasons Why I think I should Own a Goat. That was definitely an important read.

What do you have to look forward to in May? Radiant Floor Heating for dummies, How to pour self levelling concrete, a first glimpse into this year’s front yard vegetable garden and how to make my FAVOURITE sandwich of all time.

I am most excited for the sandwich. I love sandwiches.

I am catsitting right now and the cat doesn’t have a name. I think that is pretty disrespectful, so I called him Sandwich.

The cat doesn’t have a name??!! Something’s wrong with his owners. They might be zombies. I fear calling him Sandwich might prompt them to eat him. ~ k

Thanks for enabling me to be lazy about keeping up with my blog roll! Your month sounded exhausting, exciting, yummy, and artsy.

Also, isn’t there just something about demolition work?

April was a happening month! I learned alot. I even made your delish salad dressing. :) Alas, I will never be a chicken mom, but I admire those of you who take such kind care of them. Looking fwd to May.

Karen, do you ever just veg and watch tv? Seriously, how do you motivate yourself to do so much?

    • Karen says:

Patti – I’m not a good relaxer. And television is great, but doesn’t keep me off the computer. The only thing that keeps from from working is when I read for a half an hour before bed. I watch an hour or so of television a night from around 11:00 – 12:00 while I catch up on emails. Every once in a while I take a whole day off and love it. ~ karen!

May sounds like it will be very very interesting.

Around here May brings birthdays of both my children. On my must-do list is to get the garden planted, build a duck house and to start thinking about building my garden shed. We still also have to work on the floor and ceiling to the new sunroom.

My new duckies came yesterday. One was DOA. One pretty much went right into duckie ICU. But the other 6 are rocking and rolling in the brooder. If Buttercup, the ICU duck survives, she will definitely be a special needs duck. She only had one eye open correctly and her waddle is a bit off . But she likes to be held and hand fed so she might be a better pet duck than the others. Time will tell. But they are so awesomely cute that I almost can’t stand it. And hopefully they be big enough by Japanese Beetle time to decimate the local population of the nasty pests.

“Looking forward” to my 50th birthday. Gulp. Where did that go?
And actually looking forward to getting my first chickens. The coop is decorated, the run is up…

  9. Marti says:

May sounds pretty jammed. I didn’t know there was such a thing as “self-leveling concrete” or that you ate sandwiches.

And thanks for sharing your En Suite. Good to know it’s there… in case you suddenly came “unjammed.” Suddenly.
