And people are losing their minds.
If you take a right at the beer store and a left at the crematorium in my town you'll find yourself passing an orchard of cherry blossoms.
For a few days this little oasis just around the corner from the pot shop (which is next to the beer store) rains cherry blossoms down onto anyone who wanders under them.
Which, yesterday, was all of humanity.
I admit in this photograph it appears to be a perfectly reasonable amount of humans wandering around - maybe 4 or 5 people. I'd like you to know it was at LEAST 6 or 7.
Since Covid, if there are more than 2 people within a 700 ft. radius of me I feel cramped.
But for you and your puzzle, I ventured out into this cherry blossom rager for a photo.
The 37 trees were gifted to our town by a girl's school in Japan almost 20 years ago, and people really do flock to them for photos all day long while they're blooming.
The branches have almost grown enough to create an umbrella of blossoms over the whole park.
This little grove is a reminder that fleeting beauty can be found in unexpected places (right at the beer store, left at the crematorium, just past the pot shop, across from the water treatment plant.)
The 90 Piece Puzzle
Have a good weekend, back on Monday with a hack for my favourite food. 🥔

Where is this located!

Dundas, Ontario. ~ karen!

There were 10 people! Thank you for braving the outdoors with such a crowd!
Karen
I know. I might as well have been in an airport the day before Thanksgiving. ~ karen!

I get it. In my town, the best views are from the dump and the cemetery.

Oooh another place to see the blossoms — no parking to be had near the lake in Burlington. So Karen, when you give directions, are you in Dundas or Hamilton? In other words, any chance you can be more specific please. And thank you. 😉
Oops I read the comments, so never mind. 😜
AnnueVee
Nope, still can’t find it. Am I going into Dundas or out of Dundas ? There’s no crematorium around the corner that has a treed area. Do you mean Grove Cemetery? Ugh, I’m lost and confused. 😕
Karen
I'm certain it's too late now Annie, but it's across from the beer store and pot shop. It is called Centennial park and there's parking for it beside the Airforce Club. ~ karen!
Karen
In Dundas, in Centennial Park, which is located right by the beer store and pot shop. There is parking in The Airforce Club parking lot. ~ karen!

What city is this in?
I enjoy the puzzles. Thanks
Karen
Hi Anne! It is in Dundas, Ontario. ~ karen!

Ok. I went on Google maps. Found the crematorium and the beer store. Zip. Nada. Since I live just up “the mountain” from you, maybe I should just come for a drive on this rainy day (and avoid the human horde) to find this wonderful sight. Hard hard can it be? 😉
Jan in Waterdown
Uch. “How hard” not “Hard hard” 🙄. Stupid fingers.
Carol
Hi Karen, where exactly are these cherry trees? I would love to see the blossoms. Is this in Uxbridge?
Karen
Hi Carol. The trees are in Dundas, Ontario and they bloomed a few weeks earlier than normal. ~ karen!
Carol
Thank you!

In SW Wisconsin, April 22, we are having on/off snow flurries. We had 3" of snow last week and our asparagus was frozen off. We are forecast to have near freezing temps for the next four nights. Unusual for this time of year. No cherry blossoms here. Enjoy yours!
Karen
Ours showed up 3 weeks early because of a week of HOT weather. Which yes, is now cold weather. Overnight lows of freezing for the next few nights. ~ karen!

What a wonderful and lasting gift from the girls school in Japan to your city! Loved the puzzle! I would love the truly amazing gift of standing under the blossoms during a breeze. But I can imagine it while enjoying the last of my coffee. Have a great day!
Karen
Our town has had a student exchange with a town in Japan for as long as I can remember. ~ karen!

Lovely!
Here in Southern California, we usually have cherry blossoms drifting across the streets in December and January, while the rest of the country has snow. But we didn't have it this year; nasty cold snap and atmospheric rivers galore!
Karen
They bloomed a few weeks early this year because it was so hot a couple of weeks ago. ~ karen!

I counted 13 1/2 - a baby? That is a full on mob!! So pretty, though. That is a very sweet story of how the trees came to be such a sight there! Very nice. ❤️
Camille
There is such a sweet family moment I spotted off on the right.
Karen
I actually Photoshopped a few people out because they were distracting so add those into your count. That makes it close to 20. Basically a nation. ~ karen!

I dare say it's downright purty. Thanks for sharing the charm of simple things.
