The Great, Gargantuan, Giftmas Giveaway … of stuff.

Things are a changing at The Art of Doing Stuff next week.

Are you ready to win stuff?

All kinds of stuff?

Good.  Because every single day next week I’m hosting a bit of an event you might be interested in.

Each day will bring a different collection of stuff to win donated by my sponsors.  Gifts, from us to you to thank you for supporting their businesses and my site.

Close to $2,000 worth of stuff!

You’ll be able to enter as many times as you want!  BUT, you have to be a member of Pinterest to to take part because that’s how you’re going to enter. I’ll explain more on that in Monday’s very first giveaway post!

So make sure you’re signed up.  See my post here on how to do it.  It’s easy.

Let’s all meet back here on Monday for the first of next week’s 5 giveaway packages!

Have a good weekend.

p.s. Interested in my fonts and where I found them? I list and talk a bit about them here.

  1. missnicoleo says:

First comment means I win! New rule!

  2. Heather says:

I can’t wait! And hopefully it’ll be my lucky week

  3. Kirsten says:

The styling of giveaway graphic is beautiful, Karen! I love it.

  4. Barbara Z. says:

Okay, I was one of the four who hadn’t joined Pinterest…. I have now. It should only take me a month or two to figure it out… or until my daughter explains it… Love your blog!

  5. Kat says:

I am having my own mini give away. Today as I was counting and rolling my pennies before the big penny meltdown here in Canada I decided to take a picture of them , post it on my facebook page and all of my friends on facebook (a whole 38 of them) can try and guess how many pennies are in the wok and I will make them a hand made gift from me for Christmas! Fun giving away stuff isn’t it. Mine is on a different scale than yours but those friends on facebook are pretty darn excited which makes me excited. Have fun and I will be watching!!!!

  6. Judith says:

Ooooh, exciting! Is this worldwide? …or at least Sweden-encompassing?

  7. White says:

I will simply have to pass on the giveaways because I refuse to be coerced into any “network” scheme. Had I been keen on Pinterest et al., I would already have been signed up.

    • Karen says:

Huh? Um … this isn’t a network scheme. Whatever that is. ~ karen!

      • TorontoBoy says:

Hey Karen, I think what White is worried about is the possibility that the giveaway may be a way for you to increase viewership or at worse develop a potential client list to sell to companies or corporations for target advertising. Personally, I am not worried in the least.

On a unrelated note, I’ve been meaning to ask you a question regarding a post you wrote about a week ago regarding your time on television. I do remember that you were often a featured home decor guest on either CityTV (or was it CTV …. possibly the Marilyn Dennis show? It was such a long time ago, I cannot recall the specific channel to be honest). When I stumbled onto your website, I instantly recognized you and subscribed. What have you been up to since leaving television? As can be seen here on your website, you have come up with very creative designs and projects that keep us all entertained. I should say here that you rock! Would you ever return back to being a television host again? Maybe full-time? Also, since you are now dabbling with Adobe Photoshop, would you care to share with us (in a post or two) how you design some of the lovely pictures featured here? I am actually in the midst of creating a web site (based on the mockups I created, it’s actually being designed as we speak) and for the sake of cost would like to design some of the images myself. Thanks in advance from another avid fan!

  8. KiwiKat says:

It is going to be a GLOBAL competition, right? For ALL your readers, right?

  9. J9 says:

You’re like the Oprah of Canada!

  10. Sue T. says:

Thanks Karen…. Sounds like fun !

  11. KarenJ says:

It’s like Oprah’s special things giveaway!
But it’s not one episode it’s a whole week and it’s not Oprah it’s Karen (Ambassador Karen)!
    See you Monday:)

  12. marilyn says:

yeah i entered two contests this week..i am on a roll baby!

  13. Delvalle says:

Hi Karen I have tried signing up with Pinterest but can’t seem to do it. Dumb question coming up… what the is my user name. I have tried everything I can think off to no avail. Yes, you are talking to computer weakling, so be gentle with me.
Love seeing what your up to each day.

    • Karen says:

Hi Delvalle – Your username can be anything. For me, my Username is always The Art of Doing Stuff. Your Username could also be your real name. Or a nickname. Or just something you think sound’s good. Like “Princess JingleJangle”. Whatever you like. It’s the name that will show up beside the pictures you pin. Like I say, some people use their real name as their username, other people use their business name, and others just make something up. Hope that helps. ~ karen!

  14. cred says:

I love your giveaway logo, I saw it and thought I must inquire but there in your ps you’ve taken care of it- you know your readers well!

I repinned your 2 font pins yesterday- I love fonts and I can’t wait to try the chalkboard transfer trick- I hate my writing so this is the ticket for making my chalkboard prettier.

    You KNOW which one …

  35. candace says:

Can’t wait 🙂 I like the new feature they have for the “secret board” – using it to pin all my Xmas Gift ideas!

  36. Jacqui says:

Speaking of your sponsors…I read your post, trusted your opinion and bought a set of king size linen sheets from Rough Linen! Well…actually….my husband did….it’s a Christmas surprise for me! Hooray Surprise!

    • Karen says:

LOL, so do you have them yet or will they be a Christmas surprise?? You’ll love them. For your birthday or Valentines Day or Groundhog Day you should surprise yourself with the Natural Rough Linen duvet cover. I love it even more than the sheets. I can’t explain it but there’s just something about the way it hangs and drapes. It’s GREAT. Enjoy! ~ karen!

      • Jacqui says:

They’re on the way. I’ll let him wrap them up for Christmas so it can be somewhat surprising! I can hardly wait to touch them. I debated on the duvet or the summer cover but decided to wait until I see the sheets. I love the look of them. I’m trying to pick out a new bed and wasn’t sure if the rustic look would be right for the room. I so want a tufted headboard/bed from restoration hardware!

        • Karen says:

Lol. I had the very same struggle. I like an all white bed. But I also knew I loved the look, colour and feel of the actual Rough Linen. It took me forever to decide and order. I’m really glad I went with the Rough Linen. – Karen!

  37. Pam'a says:

I really hope one of your sponsors will be giving away a car. My son’s got stolen, so we’re down one… 😉

  38. Jackie says:

Sounds fun! Is this going to be for Canada only, or can readers from the US enter?

  39. Bonnie says:

Oh boy! How will we enter on Pinterest?

I want you to know that it was very hard for me to break my Pinterest habit. I did it by switching to Stumble Upon–like methadone to break a heroin habit. Now, you will have me going back. I hope you feel guilty…guilty enough to PICK ME!

    Okay. I’m psyched.

  40. magali says:

    I’M SO EXCITED!!!!
    I love contents so much!
