Win Stuff! Foxy Blunt Greeting Cards!

Kay, I have absolutely no idea how to run a blog contest.  Ironic, isn’t it?  Ya know, considering the name of my site.  But like I advise you to just go ahead and give it a shot …  I’m just gonna throw caution to the wind and make it up as I go.

If you’d like to win this box set of 8 Foxy Blunt Greeting Cards just leave a relevant comment on one of my posts!  Include the word Contest at the end of the comment.

You can see the full set of greeting cards here at Foxy Blunt.  The set includes my 2 personal favourites.  “Thank you for not buying me a blanket with sleeves”, and “Marriage is Forever – 46% of the time”.   If I were a lesbian, the Foxy Blunt gals would be my girlfriends. I discovered them on the big, bad Internet and fell in love with them for their irreverence.  I LOVE these cards and have purchased them as a my first contest prize as a thank you for all The Art of Doing Stuff readers who have helped make my first month on-line a lot of fun and a great success.

The winner will be contacted by email, and announced on the site!  It’s kind of like having your name in lights, but not at all.  And in fact, I must warn you I may curse either before or after your name, just for fun.

Good luck!

Contest ends April 28th.

    These cards are great! Sassy!
I want to give one to my 83 year old mother. She’d love it!
Can’t wait to win your “Contest”!

  2. Those look wicked~
I never win anything (snarky Protestant joyless work ethic) so I might be reduced to buying them!

  3. Look at with the Foxy giveaway 🙂 You go girl!! Foxy was the name of dog when I was little…is that relevant? LOL Glad to see that you are home.

  4. Erica J. says:

I have bought these cards and I love them. I find myself thinking of excuses to give them. Contest!

  5. Rieland says:

I found the Foxy Blunt cards a couple of weeks ago, and I’m just biding my time until the next appropriate (or inappropriate) card-giving opportunity arises. Thanks for the giveaway, Karen! Are you SURE you’ve only been doing this a month?? Have your blog already coded as a favorite in my rss reader and can’t wait until the next post. My BF and I read them out loud to each other and laugh our respective @$$es off!

    • Karen says:

Thank you! That’s very nice to hear. I must admit one month is a bit of a lie. It’s been almost a month and a half. I have issues with exaggeration. It comes from my mother. For instance, she starts to say “Well … I guess summer’s almost over”, before the kids are even out of school yet. Regardless, I’m so glad you and your BF (boyfriend or best friend dunno) read them out loud and laugh. That’s the goal. Oh! And learning stuff too.

  6. Rieland says:

I was always the good girl in school, following all the teachers’ directions. In my old age (har har) I’ve taken up rebellion. But I still wanna win, so… CONTEST… CONTEST!!!

  7. Liz says:

Ah blankets with sleeves, or “slankets” as they are known across the pond.

I was ridiculing the things about two weeks ago until the guy who sits next to me on my desk “pod” told me he had given one to his wife for her birthday so he didn’t have to have the heating on in the house. Classy.

    Yay contest.

    • Karen says:

I love reading your comments. They’re hilarious. I realize that’s mildly “nationalist” of me to say, but I don’t care. Slanket! I love it. I even get a kick out of desk “pod”. So much fun. Use the word “crisps” when referring to chips in your next comment please! It’ll just make my day. And maybe loo. Try and get loo in. But maybe not in the same sentance as crisps. I only need to know so much.

  8. Morgen says:

I love your web site! I love the cards! Please let me win this CONTEST!

  9. OH man – I have never seen these before and I can’t believe I missed them! I am ALWAYS on the look out for feisty unexpected cards! Probably because I’m not a manic note writer. My mom taught me well. But it took me 26 years (or having a baby shower, baby, wedding and new family to impress all within 2 years?) to come around and now no gift, gesture, high-five goes un-noted! Well, MOST of the time… I do work fulltime and have a baby afterall! ANYhow – thrilled about the giveaway – congrats on your first on!!!

Love your site!! Love your wit! Love that you’re giving away them cards! Foxy Blunt just rocks. Curse away baby….Contest!

  11. I am fascinated that you can say “Contest” and you get all these lurkers and newbies commenting! Hilarious! I need to have a giveaway so I can see how many people are actually checking out my randomness without comment. Pick me! Pick me!

Hey, check out my post for today. Inspired by your awesome video I planted some loofah plants and they just started sprouting yesterday. You really are teaching me “the art of doing stuff”! Fist thing I have EVER grown from a seed.

    Oh, yeah. CONTEST!

    • Karen says:

Good job! I’m glad you could find the seeds! I was a little worried people would have a hard time finding them. Nice title too! Silly-pants.

  12. BTW: I already subscribe to your posts.
Cause your a genius and all.

    CONTEST!

  13. Lisa says:

    Contest!!!

  15. leslie says:

Good way to get us to admit how loyal we are to your blog.

I paint things white when I don’t really love them too.

    CONTEST!

  16. Megan says:

These cards would win a contest for the best card at a wedding – in particular the one I’m going to this weekend…46% of the time…

  17. Jeanenne says:

I’m a newish subscriber to your feed and I love your site! Also love their stuff! I have their “Working… on an exit strategy” wallpaper on my work laptop ‘cuz I’m politically savvy like that.

    CONTEST!

  18. Jenn A says:

I <3 the Foxy Blunt cards! Awesome.

  19. Becca says:

I just discovered these cards, and I’m too darn excited about them! And thanks to you, because you’re also awesome for running this… contest!

  20. kristen says:

I hope to win these because my huband DID get me a Slanket for christmas which I promptly returned to amamzon.com. So I think it would be funny to give him that card now and show him that they are universally depsised. Although atleast it served a purpose unlike the $50 RapidLash that I got myself as a replacement, which does nothing.

  21. kristen says:

    oh and contest.

  22. Jessica says:

Oh my goodness…love your site! I just got through the archives. I have already ordered me up some sprout seeds…WAY excited to give that a try. I think I can handle keeping them alive for 4 days!

Found you via Foxadora Blunt on FB. Love their cards! So enter me in the CONTEST!

  23. Danielle says:

Count me in for your contest! More $1 store posts please – I too love that store.

  24. Andrea says:

Curse words look great both before and after my name – so curse away – I want those cards 🙂
May you have many more months of success. By the looks of things here I predict a book in your future. Cheers to you and the CONTEST!!!!

I love those cards. I really need to be able to give one to my Grandma. She’d love it. She’s the type of “Granny” who pops her dentures out at little trick’r’treaters on Halloween. Is this post relevant enough to enter me in the contest?

    • Karen says:

Hah! Oh yes … you’re definitely entered. Your grandmother sounds like my late grandmother. She’d put plastic bedbugs in my bed when I went to visit for fun. She thought it was a riot. I am pathologically afraid of spiders now by the way.

      • flattireTuesday says:

My Gramma loves to scare the pee out of us grandkids too. This puts me in the mood to write an ‘ode to Grandma’ for Mother’s Day.

  26. Langela says:

I saw these first on PW’s site and fell in love with them. In fact, I loaded up a cart of their stuff and then realized I would have to wait until I won the lottery to buy everything I loved. Do they ever let someone who doesn’t play the lottery win? I think they should. If I had extra money to play, I wouldn’t have to win! Or enter this CONTEST!

  27. Lynn says:

Glad you enjoyed your ice cream! I would love to win some Foxy Blunt cards, so I’m entering your CONTEST!
