Sunday Spring Bulbs ~ Tulips, Daffodils, Lavender

This weekend's puzzle is brought to you by Spring. I've been out in the yards all day trying to get things cleaned up a little bit.

As any year-long reader here knows, I do not do Easter decorations. There was a moment when you could buy Easter decorations that looked just like traditional chocolate rabbits. If I could find a nice one of those now, I'd display that.

Otherwise, it's potted bulbs, 3 cast iron chicks and a fuzzy duckling souvenir from The Peabody Hotel in Memphis.

Would you like to save this stuff?

We'll email you this post, so you can refer to it later.

I'd like to declare now that I'm really getting into pots. I like 'em. Thank you again to reader Jody for donating her old clay pots last year so I could experiment with planting in them—and to the same Jody, I’m so sorry, but you made a terrible, gasp-worthy, hand-over-mouth mistake.

Remember the tulip bulbs and daffodils I planted in (her) pots last fall? They have emerged and the flower heads are forming and the pots look beautiful which means it'll soon be time to show you how they turned out.

Until then - you can put my indoor potted bulbs together again.

Happy Easter, Passover and Bunny Sunday.

Hi Karen, Just wanted to let you know that I planted tulip bulbs in pots like you posted & they turned out great. I planted 2 large pots, stored them in our garage. My husband moved them in & out - according to the weather, after they started growing. They have bloomed beautifully & are now done. Thank you for the post. And thanks for the puzzles. Happy Easter.

I am so happy you are enjoying the pots. You are definitely getting more joy out of them than I was. Happy Bunny Day

I, too, am not a big "Easter" decor person. Your tablescape is spot on for the feelings to be evoked. :) Loved the puzzle - thank you!
