24 DOORS WITH TINY BURSTS OF CHRISTMAS CHEER & SURPRISES
FROM ME TO YOU
A new door opens for you every day.
Already a skeptic? I get it - I'm that person too. No seriously, I'm not sucking up to you. I am that person.
WHAT'LL YOU GET?
Inside you might find a puzzle, a word find, a Christmas light tour, or just a little something to make you blow eggnog out of your nose.
I mean there's a BRADY BUNCH of stuff. You can't expect me to remember it all.
SPEAKING OF EGGNOG. (Kind of)

Not actually a photo of eggnog - It's eggnog fraud. What you see there is hot buttered rum.
Since I need an eggnog photo ...
one of your calendar doors will open with an invitation to a party.
I'M HAVING AN EGGNOG MAKING PARTY.
For once you'll be watching me do something I have no clue how to do.
We're all going to make eggnog at the same time. I have a confession to make. I've never made eggnog. I included a recipe for it in The Christmas Pledge this year but ... I haven't made it. Ever.
I'm going to attempt it for the very first time with all of you watching and taking part.
Plus more.
One part funny, one part sentimentality, one part wtf.

Having been a reader of Karen's blog for a looong time I know that she is always full of surprises, and this is no different.
I had no idea what an online Advent calendar would mean, but it's full of all sorts of fun surprises. Next year I'll remember to purchase it before Christmas...Definitely worth the minor cost!

Skeptic should have been my middle name. Especially when it comes to online stuff. You're either a scammer trying to get my credit card, or a scammer trying to empty my bank account. So why would I go for an "Advent Calendar" from a self-confessed crazy person. (She is, too! Read her blog!) And WTF is an online Advent Calendar anyway?
You will have 24 days of downtime. Sometimes the down time can be measured in seconds. Other times, in minutes. And if you get really caught up, you can while away up to an hour in stress-free, world-ignoring ME-time!
The days are usually something sweet, something spicy, something to watch, something to do, or any mix of them. Sometimes you'll have the time to go down the rabbit hole. Other days you'll get your door's worth and be done. It works out to 50c per day, and I'd stick that in the coffee cup of a performing street artist without a second's thought. In fact, if you have a look at the pitiful chocolate advent calendars you can buy in a store, this is almost a no-brainer. On the plus side, it's waaaay better than a cheap chocolate calendar. On the negative side, it's not any better for your waistline, because she includes some pretty awesome recipes. You know you're gonna make at least one! Just to try it, y'know. Just once.
And flying reindeer bring a fat man to your rooftop every year.
So, from one skeptic to another, buy the damn calendar. Thank me later.

It's a little bit hard to review The Art of Doing Stuff Advent Calendar without revealing the Willie Wonka Chocolate Factory of surprises you will find inside. A mix of warm and relaxing, mind blowing, best of the best You Tube Christmas you will never find otherwise, and tons of hands on fun. If you want a few minutes of light hearted joy every day until Christmas, this might be for you.

I was late coming to the party, however, so very happy I did! I was blown away to be greeted by Greg Brady on Day 1! So much originality and fun, fun, fun. I will not be late next year! Thanks Karen! Merry Christmas!

Totally worth the 12 bucks even if you purchase today! You still get all the same content and the fun of binge-opening doors to get caught up which on my opinion is even better than one day at a time. In fact, I may stop opening tomorrow and wait until the 25th to open the rest. Either way you can’t lose. It’s brilliant.

If you haven't yet purchased this--do it immediately! The egg nog making live makes it worth it--if nothing else! HILARIOUS! (And I AM sorry you're sick, Karen. Hope you're better soon...)

Fun. Worth at least $12. That’s 50¢ a day for a smile or some fun. So far I’ve enjoyed it quite a lot!

Ok. I had my doubts. But I’m looking forward to every single day opening one of the little doors. So money well spent and if Karen makes another one of these next year I’m in!

Oh my gosh! This is not your typical Advent Calendar and thank goodness. The first day blew me away. I can't wait for each day to see what Karen's unconventional mind has come up with for each door. The anticipation is unrivaled. So much better than a piece of chocolate! lol

Thanks Karen! Can't wait for more "out of the box" daily fun. So glad you put this calendar together! And thank you for your help in navigating some glitches. It was well worth the outcome! Hope you are already thinking of items you can use for 2023!
Cheers, Judy

As usual, my fave irreverant blogger has come up with something to make my day just a little more joyful and entertaining. An advent calendar that is ZERO calories and a lot of fun. Like an amuse bouche!

Ok. I was a little bit skeptical but everything is a little or a lot tongue in cheek which I find amusing. Day 1 was just hilarious!

I am so happy to have my little moment of joy each morning. It keeps the spirit alive as being the ‘mom magic maker’ for years can be a little um, well let’s just say busy. So nice to have a little gift for me. Thank you Karen (and Greg ;) for this creative calendar. Xo

I remember the excitement in opening the little doors on the advent calendar as a kid. Let me tell you, the stuff behind these doors is way better than a piece candy. Do not hesitate to get yourself a little something this year.

I haven’t had an advent calendar since I was little, so when I saw Karen’s calendar (for only $12!) I had to buy. First day made me laugh, today’s made me think…I can’t wait until tomorrow!

Two days in and I know I’m in for a great ride. Somehow Google directed me to Karen and her blog to learn how to make the best fire 🔥 ever (I can start one damn good fire now - thanks Karen!) and now I’m looking forward each day to opening a little virtual door to see what awaits me there. We never do know where a click of a button will lead us. Peace everyone and enjoy!

The Art of Doing Stuff Advent Calendar is a true holiday gem. For a scant two quarters a day my December will enjoy Yuletide whimsy, anticipatory delight, long-standing traditions honored and peace to my heart and mind. No stress, no unrealistic expectations, demands or promises, just pure Christmas fun. If like me you have found a kindred soul and spirit in one Karen Bertelsen, I can only heartily recommend that you invest this tiny sum of money to make the Advent calendar part of your festivities this month, and offer this token of your support to her for all that you enjoy year-round. I did and I'm a happy elf because of it.
