I was curious about your garden show today and watched at intervals and then at the end. The wind sure was howling. I wish I could have heard your commentary as you worked. You did get quite a bit done. It gave us a sense of how large this particular garden is. I realized today that your house garden is a totally different space.

Hiya! Started a little late, but had it on the rest of the time while I made soil blocks and potted up other things...so thank-you!! - for once gardening wasn't a solo activity🙂. Will definitely watch again, although the wind was being obnoxious. Turned on sound only when I saw you talking...

Fun to see you work! I only watched a little bit, cause I got tired. It was windy.

you are motivating me. I left to gather up some sketch paper, to plan my garden, and I missed if you explained what you are putting in the trench. Hardware cloth? I am assuming to keep bunnies out? or maybe chicken wire? How deep is trench?
      thank you!

Hi Suzanne, it's 1/4" hardware cloth. Anything with a larger hole will let too many voles into the garden and they do the most damage. I've dug the trench to be around 8-12". (the garden is on a slope so the depth is uneven) ~ karen!

My name is Karen Bertelsen and I was a television host. In Canada. Which means in terms of notoriety and wealth, I was somewhere on par with the manager of a Sunset Tan in Wisconsin.

I quit television to start a blog with the goal that I could make my living through blogging and never have to host a television show again. And it’s worked out. I’m making a living blogging. If you’re curious, this is how I do that.

So I’m doing this in reverse basically. I’m the only blogger who is trying to NOT get a TV show.
