This post is brought to you by extortion and bruises. Metallic bugs, Philip, flowers and funny. You may ask yourself, what about the snakes? Don't worry. The snakes are coming, just not this week.
Because this week we have the 6 Spotted Tiger Beetle. I too think that's an odd name for something that isn't orange, doesn't have stripes, and has never once smiled on a cereal box.
Please, please, please notice that the creepy girl is holding the mirror image of the piece of floral greenery closest to her hand.
The flower photos are just beginning. Whether you like it not there will be many more all summer long. By August you'll by lying on the couch yelling "STOP WITH THE FLOWER PICTURES!!" to no one at all.
To get this photograph I had to climb a hill path that I've affectionately named I Hate This Stupid Hill Path. It leads up to the train tracks that run above our town.
The beginning of the path goes the kind of straight up where you need to use your hands to grab at roots (if you're being a tiny bit dramatic.)
Add in 4 days of rain & me, and you've got yourself an I Love Lucy episode.
By the top of the hill Philip had muddy toenails while I had bruises and threatening thoughts about litterbugs.
What I said to them 10 seconds earlier: Just sit here quietly.
Just some cozy. Speaking of cozy, I hate my mattress.
That is in fact what Betty was doing on my bed. She insisted I couldn't possibly need a new mattress. Then she sat on the bed, rolled over and it ate her.
That photograph was the bed barfing her back up.
I was just trying to take more photos of flowers.
It is not Betty's favourite photo of herself. I had to extort her with relevant and interesting information about a mutual friend so she couldn't disapprove.
Now she knows a certain friend has exactly 3 natural teeth left, and I got use of the photo.
The 20 piece puzzle
1:44 seconds. You will all beat me. Every single one of you who does this puzzle will beat me.
Have a good Sunday!

Bribe Betty with gossip.

20 seconds, but it's an itty bitty puzzle! Where is the option for the 80 piece version???
Susan Jacobs
Yes the girl is creepie but the flowers are lovely.
Sleep number bed. They don't ware out. I have had one for 20 years it and only bought a new one because I have extra bedrooms now. The warranty is 20 years.

OMG...Creepy girl has an evil look in her eye...as if she just plucked that flower from your arrangement....maybe next time, try her with roses....or maybe NOT :( EEEEERie!

I finally finished a puzzle! That's a personal record for me. Love not only the pic of your town with all the trees, but also the beautiful artistic flower pictures. Most appreciated from my Sonoran Desert home.

Randomish thoughts by me:
#1. Gorgeous alien bug!
#2. Thought maybe you were terrorizing your neighbourhood with a drone.
#3. Creepy girl has a huge forehead, so do I 🙄. Points for the leaf matchup.
#4. If you were my daughter you’d be dead by now. We have a Casper mattress, best one ever.
Happy not a Father’s Day 😁
Cara
Would you ever take on the topic of how to buy a new mattress? There must be plenty of functional information besides just what seems comfortable. It's such a big (and long term) investment. I'm in the USA.
Cheers - KEEP the flower photos coming.

Hi Cara, I know you didn’t ask me but what the heck, that’s never stopped me in the past 😏. I won’t usurp Karen’s blog here but my #1 recommendation is to avoid mattress stores (cough Sleep Country etc) if you can. I did a ton of online research and there’s lots of info out there about their sales practices and techniques by former employees. It can be a dodgy business at best. We bought a Casper online back when it was a brand new company and love it. They offered a 100 day tryout period and if you’re not happy, they come and pick it up and donate it to charity. Total refund. We tried their not inexpensive pillows, didn’t like them, returned no problem. Ok I’ll shut up now but good luck with your search!

You are wicked sometimes! Lololol Made my day 🤣

Love all pictures with Betty, in them.....as well as your beautiful flowers.
Emie
Please send as as many flower and beautiful bug pictures that you can please! But, we don't need any of the snakes!!!

Karen, you are still the puzzle winner, according to my score of 1:50. And I love all your photos, especially the bribed one.

58 seconds of puzzle fun for sure. The hill pic does provide a dandy demonstration of the term "Your neck of the woods". Here in Chicago it often feels like, and is, a concrete/asphalt jungle.
Diane
That beetle not only isn’t orange, it seems to have eight spots.

Almost everyone has a phone with a camera but few people are taking and sharing photos of those things in their lives. I do daily/weekly updates with family and friends and always include photos. My photos are how I share small parts of my life. Let's all do more pictures and talk less.

Creepy doesn't even come close to describing this little girl...so funny on this early Sunday morning!
Cheryl
LOL. Seriously I needed this, all of this. Thank you 🤍🤍🤍

I have books of flower photos; that's how much I love them. So I will never complain about your photos of flowers! And thank you for the lovely puzzle. It might have been a hard slog for you to get to the top of the hill, but it was worth it for the rest of us!
Off topic, back in the '60s, women used to wear those metalic bugs as jewelry. They would have one on a tiny harness fastened to a brooch pin. You were supposed to feed it when not wearing it, but I don't think they lasted long, poor things.

1:56 seconds. Love your puzzles.

One minute and 38 seconds. Yay. Of course I noticed the girl's flower piece was a mimic of the nearest flower in your arrangement, and I also knew that wasn't accidental. Lovely touch.
