    A Pepper Tip, a Puzzle & a Proposition

I'd like to have a giveaway the way we used to in the olden days of blogging when it was the wild west and I could. But I need your help deciding what it is you'd like me to give away.

Back in the day a Kitchen Aid was the go-to giveaway. At one point The Pioneer Woman was giving away 750 of them an hour. So chances are you already have a Kitchen Aid.

Instant Pot is now bankrupt otherwise that'd be an option. Maybe a shovel? Wait. ICE CREAM. No, that won't work.

I honestly have no idea. Maybe 5 of my favourite things from Amazon? If I giveaway the last 5 things I bought on Amazon you'd be going home with a 1 kg bag of coffee beans, some irrigation tape fittings, a professional baseball display case and stand and a cat collar that I bought for Betty because I am a Prime member so I get free shipping.

Give some thought to what you think would be a good giveaway while you do the 12 piece puzzle.

    The 12 piece puzzle

A puzzle subject which was inspired by a tip I have for you.

Would you like to save this stuff?

We'll email you this post, so you can refer to it later.

    Cover Your Peppers

If you're growing peppers you might be in an area that has pepper maggots. 🤢

July is the month they make their way to your peppers.

I talk about them in this Gardening Tips post from a few years ago.

And that 12 piece puzzle is right here for you below.

So that's my proposition. Tell me what you'd like me to give away and I will give it away.

I'm hoping for inspiration. If I'm not inspired I'll probably end up giving away either potato chips or bags of Philip's hair.

      Hi Karen
An instant thermometer is something that everyone needs. It also promotes safe cooking! Not withstanding the cookies that were licked.

      Hey Karen!
      Little late to the party....
As I've/we learned so much from you
Maybe your favorite seeds or gardening tools you use! My personal favorite is a full size copy of Margaret! (Get your own frame...lol)
I just love that painting. IDK what it is.....
Maybe I was her in a past life! 😋 :)
July is horrendous! I'm deep into the eradication of cabbage moths, flea beetles, vine borders (is it wrong to get such satisfaction when you pull the little buggers out?) Lets not forget cucumber beetles! So many this year!
Sometimes I feel I'm into self torture. Every year I'm out there sounding like a trucker picking and throwing (Bobbin and weavin ;) these garden pests and I do it all over again. But I wouldn't have it any other way. What? Yes I would.....Hey! How about a nice greenhouse to keep these beasts out??
      Haha haha
Happy gardening all and enjoy the summer!

I’d like to throw my support behind a linen apron with your cleaver and signature emblazoned on the bib. It’s personal, easy to mail, not too expensive and has global appeal.
      Or a pizza oven. 😁

Karen, honestly at my age I don't need more "stuff". I love the idea of a chance to meet you... help you harvest your veggies, weed your gardens, visit you and be amazed at seeing all of your wonderful things in person. If it's to be a "thing" then a robot vacuum ( my kitty sheds more than our dog ever did), an Aerogarden (because 1 isn't enough) or a cutting board made by you. I really just enjoy you... I'll never forget that first video I saw.... the frozen tampon one. I never laughed so hard in my life. Thank you for teaching us and sharing your wisdom, heartache and foolishness with us. You're the best. :)

Well, I'm a "newbie" from the South---found you by way of another blogger that recommended you. So, if it were my 'wish list', I'd opt for the set of pots. Because I cook a LOT! Cajun girls like good food. I'm really enjoying your posts!

Thanks Tina! That's a good idea. And thanks! ~ karen! (my only "set" of pots is all the sizes of cast iron pans 😆)

What I want to know is why you had to get Betty a cat collar. Is this the new fashion for ladies of a certain age? Are you going to put a bell on her so you can keep track of her?
How about some maple syrup or maple sugar cream or candy? My house is stuffed, but those things wouldn't take up room for long! ;-)

Karen, hands down my favorite ever tip from you was the robot vacuum. Revolutionized my life!!! You know what I would love to have? A robot shop vac! They make them, but they're about a million $$, so, I don't know what your budget is, but that would be my dream give-away. ;-)

Will putting Phillip's hair in my garden deter rabbits? If so, I'd like a big bag!

I've often wondered if it would work as a deterrant around a garden! I should save his next bag of hair and test it out. ~ karen!

I use my dogs hair for this! And I collect her pee! Before you picture me running around with a cup during the moment, I let her pee then I drop a napkin or paper towel on it and step on it. Then I put the soaked napkins around the perimeter of my garden. It works for me!

oh yeah so I won an "art of doing stuff" cleaver-screenprinted tea towel like, so long ago. Maybe circa 2012? I totally still have and use that towel (although it's definitely up there in age, haha!)

TOTALLY would enter a contest for another one.

I love a great give away contest. My suggestion would be anything you have made....wooden key holder with earth magnet, cutting board, art work (because I know you are talented in that way), something silk screened, snow globe, a laugh. Never mind about the laugh, you give us those already.

I happen to adore the skillet you recommended that I promptly bought from Amazon with the smooth wooden handle and gorgeous finish. I am intrigued by the linen towels, though - will have to go find those.....

The entire cream set with wood look handles is on sale for almost 50% off right now on Amazon. I noticed it the other day. I'm SO close to buying the whole set. And I am not the kind of person who buys a set of pots. But I love them so much. ~ karen!

No! Really?! That makes me crazy. Hold off then, but check on July 11th or 12th (Prime Days). If it's going to be on sale again for 50% off or so that's when it will be. ~ karen!
