Merry Christmas!
I just wanted to make a quick appearance in your inbox today to wish you a Merry Christmas. I am currently full of Christmas Eve festivities food and yet am still looking forward to a classic Christmas dinner of turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes at my sister's house later today.
My whole family will gather there, some new members and some old. Chances are we'll squabble and it will be hectic. Most of us will eat too much and if history is any indication one of us will accidentally set something on fire. A napkin, a set of false fingernails ... whatever.
As wonderful as Christmas day is, Boxing Day is the day I most look forward to most. It's the one day a year when I actually do find it easy to relax. I usually don't get dressed, I DEFINITELY don't leave the house and I eat Christmas Eve scraps for dinner. I'll probably binge watch something ridiculous in between napping as well.
I know what you're thinking. You're thinking an imposter has taken over Karen's blog and I must notify her immediately. Not true. It really is me and I really am going to relax allllll of Boxing Day.
Hopefully that's something you can do too.
Like I said, I just wanted to take a minute to wish you a Merry Christmas and thank you for being a part of my little blog all year long.

Merry Christmas and happy 364 days of busyness and 1 day day of relaxation for the new year. Enjoy your day off. I'm going to stuff my turkey and myself today and clean up the holiday mess tomorrow.

Merriest of New Years and Happiest of Christmases, Karen.
And the boxiest of Boxing days! I wish Boxing Day would spread to the US. I’ll be at work, but mentally I will be in my jammies.

Merry Christmas!!!!! I too hope to not leave my jammies or couch on Boxing Day! Thank you for sharing so much with us all.
And the pledge. Seriously thank you, again.
I have silverware already on my table, dips are in the fridge, some things are cooked and ready to go, snacks are staged and have but to be unwrapped, presents are all wrapped. I'm 100% calm right now because the house is clean and decorated, and I'm about to tuck into bed. Merry Christmas indeed!!!!! <3

Hey! What a nice surprise to hear from you! My husband and I always loved Boxing Day ... a perfectly lazy day heating up the leftover turkey, gravy, etc. I always thought the dinner tasted better that next day. Maybe I just had the time to relax and really “taste” it that next day.
Merry Christmas, Karen!
